On a recent long flight, I read this excellent article in the Harvard Business Review on the Internet of Things, How Smart Connected Products are Changing Companies. http://bit.ly/1LXG2NM
One of the key shifts was that products become services. Examples range from the office copier “Managed Print Services” and Rolls Royce commercial jet engines “Power by the Hour”. In the same way, as we ask resellers to sell product, consider how to enable the reseller to provide long term services around it. They will benefit, and so will you.
